A collection of hand shot, analogue images, Return trip captures the unbridled, raw energy of Danischewski’s environment and those people who inhabit it. Armed with a Contax T3, a free spirit and a pocket full of film, Return trip explores the underbelly of the cities he visits, capturing not only their subcultural movements, but also those individuals who are a breaking new ground.
With a long established connection to the underground Australian art scene, Danischewski explores this subculture – with unprecedented access – to fellow contemporary artists, with an acute focus on the personal relationship between the artist and their craft.
Featuring Hyeunho Park, Anthony Lister, Marcus Dixon, Reka and Jerry Hsu, Return trip documents a movement, but captures a moment in time.
